Biography
El Capitan HS: The Roadrunners’ first recruit of their NCAA Division I era, Cory Brown is a freshmen with tremendous upside who likely will redshirt this season…was a three–year starter at El Capitan High School in east San Diego County as well as MVP of the Vaquero’s freshman team…averaged 23.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game as a senior in 2006…also blocked 161 shots while earning Grossmont League North Player of the Year honors…shot 54 percent from the field and 74 percent from the line…ECHS male Athlete of the Year, first team all–county and second team All–CIF Southern Section Div. II as a senior…team MVP as a junior and senior…also played baseball and volleyball at El Cap and was a first team all–league pick in volleyball.
Personal: Brown is a San Diego area native…has not declared a major…missed being the youngest player on the 2006–07 Roadrunner roster by 18 days…enjoys spending time in the desert and working on his Baja bug in his spare time.
