Sam Logwood enters his first year with the Cal State Bakersfield men’s basketball roster in the Fall of 2025. He joins the Roadrunners after spending three seasons with the Sacramento Kings as their Video Coordinator, he also spent one year with the University of Oregon as a graduate assistant.

Logwood is a four-year letter winner (2014-18) and a a four-year starter for the University of New Mexico men’s basketball program. The guard/forward accumulated 930 points in his four-year career, in his senior season he led the team in scoring (13.0 PPG) and had a 24-point performance versus Wyoming on Feb. 20, 2018, tied for 11th in program history for most points off the bench.

Following his collegiate career, he played three years professionally, playing in the Philippines, China, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Luxembourg.

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Logwood was a national caliber recruit out of the powerhouse La Lumiere High School in Indiana. He was ranked among the top 150 prospects in the nation for the 2014 recruiting class by Rivals.com, also receiving national attention from ESPN’s recruiting services. In high school he averaged 17 points and six rebounds per game and was rated as one of the top players in the state of Indiana by various national recruiting services. He helped guide the Lakers to a 22-3 record his senior year while earning a quarterfinal appearance in the DICK’S Sporting Goods HS National Tournament. Logwood was a highly touted recruit, being pursued by Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Wichita State prior to committing to the University of New Mexico.

A 2018 graduate of the University of New Mexico, Logwood earned a degree in communications with a minor in psychology.
