Brent Wrapp enters his eighth season with the CSU Bakersfield men’s basketball coaching staff in Fall of 2025. He served as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Roadrunners for the first five years before being promoted to Assistant Coach heading into the 2023-24 season.

Wrapp was a four-year letterwinner (2014-18) and a three-year starter for the CSUB men’s basketball team. The point guard recorded 100+ assists in all four seasons and tied the school’s all-time record in career assists with 520. The record total, shared with Kenny Warren (1990-94), ranked Wrapp 16th all-time in Western Athletic Conference history.

During his time as a `Runner, Wrapp led CSUB to its first WAC Tournament title and first NCAA Tournament appearance at the Division I level in 2015-16. The following season, Wrapp helped Bakersfield earn its first WAC regular-season championship before leading the `Runners to the semifinals of the National Invitational Tournament, held in Madison Square Garden. During the run, CSUB became the first No. 8 seed in NIT history to reach the semifinals.

A native of Boulder, Colo., Wrapp was named BoCoPreps.com Player of the Year in his senior season. That year, he averaged 16.4 points, 8.9 points, and 6.7 assists per game for Fairview High School while leading the state of Colorado (5A level) in assists.

A 2017 graduate of CSU Bakersfield, Wrapp earned a degree in business management.
