Biography

2021-22 (JUNIOR): INDOOR: Played in 28 matches, making nine starts on the back row…ranked third on the team with 2.26 digs per set (235 total) and 30 assists…tallied 22 service aces on the year…recorded double-digit dig totals in 10 matches…tallied season-high 15 digs in just four sets at Cal State Fullerton Sept. 24…earned Academic All-Conference honors…BEACH: Posted a 9-13 record, playing in the No. 2, 3, and 4 pairs…Paired exclusively with Brooke Boiseau, going 5-9 as the 3s pair and 4-1 as the 4s…earned Big West Pair of the Week honor, CSUB’s first-ever, on Feb. 28 after going 3-0 on opening weekend, including a dominant wins over No. 14 Pepperdine and the NAIA’s No. 1 team Vanguard…earned Academic All-Conference honors.

2020-21 (JUNIOR): INDOOR: Indoor season cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic…BEACH: Posted a 2-12 record on the year, 2-3 as No. 3 pair and 0-9 as No. 4 pair…exclusively paired with Brooke Boiseau…helped Boiseau defeat Cal Poly’s 4s pair in straight sets.

JUNIOR COLLEGE (2018-20): Competed in indoor and beach volleyball for Irvine Valley College…coached by Tom Pestolesi…in 2019, earned First Team All-Conference (indoor) and State Championship All-Tournament Team honors…named First Team All-Conference (beach) in 2018…three-time conference champion (two indoor, one beach) and helped Lasers place third or higher three times (two indoor, one beach) at state tournaments…earned an AA in Social Behavioral Sciences.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Crean Lutheran High School…coached by Eric Olson…earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2016 and 2017…helped Saints win league title in 2014…named an Elite Scholar Athlete all four years and was a National Honors Society member.

PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 11, 1999…daughter of Tim and Laura Unke…a kinesiology major who hopes to become a team trainer or nutritionist after her time at CSUB.
