Biography

2011 (R-SOPHOMORE): Saw action in 24 games, starting eight...hit .212 with four RBI’s.

2010 (REDSHIRT):  Played 10 times, starting nine at first base or as the DH but received a medical redshirt after injuring wrist …did not commit an error in 72 chances at first including 18 putouts against St. Mary’s (Feb. 26)…had lone multiple hit game against Air Force, 2-of-4 (Feb. 21)...smacked lone home run of the season against Falcons Feb. 19…went 6-of-30 (.200) with three RBI’s at the plate.

2009 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in left field or as the designated hitter in 43 games...had a breakout offensive week at the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic...hit a team-best .409 (9-for-22) with a double, two home runs and five RBIs...held a 12-game hit streak from (Feb. 27 through Mar. 21)...hit .264 for the season...37 hits include seven doubles and four home runs for 17 RBIs...SUMMER LEAGUE:  Played for the Clarinda A’s in 2009...batted .299 with 32 hits, including four doubles, two triples and four home runs, in 33 games...also had 28 RBIs...team advanced to the NBC World Series where he was 7-for-20 (.350) with two runs and five RBI’s while also playing flawless defense at first base in four games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Arrived in Bakersfield from Buena High School in Ventura, where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs...earned recognition on the “California Region Other Top Players” list as part of the 2008 Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason California Region All-High School Senior Team...hit .380 with five home runs as a senior...named to the first team All-Channel League and the All-Ventura County team...earned Buena High’s Bulldog, Golden Bat and MVP awards in 2008...2007 and 2008 Under Armour preseason All-American...2007 Perfect Game USA No. 1,096 ranked player in the nation...earned the 2007 Coaches Award and Bulldog Award...Puma preseason All-American in 2005 and 2006...lettered in football in 2004...SUMMER LEAGUE: A member of the SoCal St. Louis Cardinals scout team in 2007 and 2008...selected to participate in the NorCal-SoCal All-Star weekend sponsored by SkyCaddie and the Connie Mack League 2007.
