2015 (R-FRESHMAN): Pitched in three games (3.1 innings)...struck out two...did not record a decision.

2014 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSU Bakersfield program.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Monrovia High School...coaches were Dave Moore and Brad Blackmore...a member of the Pasadena Star-News All-Area team in 2012 and 2013...chosen All-League, League MVP, first team All-San Gabriel Valley, and first team All-CIF Division 4 as a senior...hit .353 with one home run and 13 RBI’s at the plate and was 4-1 with a 1.49 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 2013...earned school’s Scholar Athlete Award in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

PERSONAL: Born May 25, 1995...son of Oscar Mata and Kimberly Farley...a physical education and kinesiology major.
