2024 (R-FRESHMAN): Played in 34 games, starting 27 times…Moved into CSUB’s primary starting catcher role midway through the season…Batted .180 on the year with a .226 on-base percentage…Tallied 3 RBI, 3 runs, 2 doubles, 1 home run, 5 walks, and 18 strikeouts…Had three 2-hit games…Regular batterymate of MLB Draftee Ryan Verdugo…Caught shutouts vs. Cal State Fullerton Apr. 6 (Game 1) and at Cal Poly Apr. 12...Offseason: Coached his brother's baseball team.

2023 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2022 graduate of Liberty High School…Coached by Tony Mills…Earned All-Area and All-League honors as a senior…Played 59 games with the Patriots, batting .371 with 66 hits in 178 at bats…Outside of baseball, competed in Sporting Clay Shooting…Ranked 19th in the country in the under 21 division for shooting when he was just 15.

PERSONAL: His cousin, Ryan Grotjohn, was a CSUB baseball standout from 2014-2017 and is now playing in the minor leagues…Plans to major in business and hopes to work in construction after his time at CSUB.
