Former Roadrunner and All-Conference selection, Scott Brattvet, returns to CSUB to serve as an assistant coach for the Roadrunners in 2017.
Brattvet spent four seasons in the Cincinnati Reds organization after being drafted in the eighth round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the club. Brattvet advanced to the AAA level in 2015 before retiring during the 2016 campaign.
Brattvet began his collegiate career at Santa Ana College where he appeared in 49 games in two seasons. He joined the Roadrunners in 2012 and tied for the team lead in victories with Jeff McKenzie and Taylor Aikenhead (6), striking out 66 in 91.1 innings. As a senior, Brattvet helped lead the ‘Runners to the 2013 Western Athletic Conference regular season title.
