2009: Brandon Boren started 47 of 49 games and was CSUB’s primary leadoff hitter...had the hot bat in the Utah series (2/28-3/1) with eight hits and three RBIs...had a 4-for-5 performance (2/28/09)...hit his first home run of the season against San Jose State (3/28/09)...knocked in the game-winning run in a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Fresno State (4/4/09)...four days later, he hit a two-out, walk-off RBI single as CSUB claimed a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs (4/8/09)...also went 5-for-6 with two RBIs and three runs in a 17-12 win over Fresno State (4/7/09)...blasted CSUB’s first-ever grand slam during a seven-run rally against UC Santa Barbara (4/16/09)...finished the season batting .290 with a team best 56 hits along with 25 RBIs.

BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE
Boren hails from Bakersfield College where he was named a California Community College All-American in 2008...finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in the state in runs scored, T2nd in hits, T6th in doubles, 14th in batting average, 14th in total bases and T27th home runs...following five postseason games, Boren finished the 49-game season with a .396 batting average, 82 hits (including 20 doubles), and 46 RBIs...first team All-Western State Conference South  selection in 2008...honorable mention All-WSC in 2007...team MVP in 2007.

STOCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL
Boren was a three-time first team All-Southwest Yosemite League selection during his prep career at Stockdale High School...named the Mustangs’ MVP as a junior and senior...named to the Bakersfield Californian All-Area first team as a senior...honor roll student all four years.

PERSONAL
Boren is majoring in liberal studies at CSUB...career plans include becoming a physical therapist...interests include golfing, running and going to the beach...parents are Russell and Vicki Boren...born March 30, 1988, in Anaheim, Calif.
