2015 (R-JUNIOR): Pitched in 11 games, starting twice...went 3-0 with a 5.19 ERA...struck out 18 in 26 innings...earned the win in the first WAC Tournament Championship game against Seattle U May 23.

2014 (R-SOPHOMORE): Was 3-2 with a 3.76 ERA in nine appearances for Glendale College...made seven starts, striking out 31 in 38.1 innings...SUMMER LEAGUE: Pitched for the Santa Paula Halos of the California Collegiate League...struck out 26 in 22.2 innings.

2013: Did not compete.

2012 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 15 games, starting twice for Glendale College...was 1-2 with 15 strikeouts in 31 innings...chosen honorable mention All-Conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Hawthorne High School...coach was Jeff Hines...named first team All-League, South Bay All-Area, and most outstanding Ocean League during prep career...hit .444 with seven home runs and had 96 strikeouts as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 22, 1993...son of Amador and Camie Monarrez...a sociology major.
