After moving across the continent to play her first two collegiate seasons, Barbie Thistle returns to her Bakersfield roots to complete her college career at CSUB...named the MAAC Setter of the Year as both a freshman and a sophomore...also made the MAAC All?Tournament team both seasons...she finished her Fairfield career with 2,582 assists, good for fourth on the Stags’ career list...her individual season totals of 1,303 and 1,279 each rank in the top five on Fairfield’s single?season list...career?high 64 assists came vs. Siena on Nov. 19, 2007...career?high nine aces against Iona on Oct. 15, 2006...led team with 37 aces as a freshman...earned all?tourney honors at the Seton Hall Tournament in 2007.

Prepped at Bakersfield High School, where she was Southeast Yosemite League MVP as a senior...led the Drillers to the CIF Central Section Division I Final Four twice...also was an All?SEYL softball player at BHS.

Barbie will major in business with a concentration in accounting at CSUB...earned MAAC All?Academic honors and was a two?time member of the dean’s list at Fairfield...is a native of Orange, Calif....parents are Robert Thistle and Maureen Meade.
