2008: Matt Shaxton had a solid first season in a Roadrunner uniform, recording four goals and three assists in 2008...one of four players to start all 17 matches...fourth most minutes played for a field player with 1,390...scored goals at Long Island (9/14/08), at Cal Poly (9/24/08), at then No. 23 UC Irvine (9/26/08) and versus Seattle (11/7/08)...three assists came in three consecutive matches (at Seattle on 10/4/08, versus The Master’s College on 10/7/08 and at UC RIverside on 10/25/08).

HARTPURY COLLEGE: Shaxton attended UWE Hartpury College in Gloucester, England from 2005-08...team won the Southern Premier Conference Championship in 2007 and 2008...BUSA National Cup champions in 2007 and 2008.

BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE: Shaxton prepped at Bridgewater College, which won the 2004 Somerset Colleges League Championship in 2004...also won the South West Colleges Cup in 2004...named a representative to the South West of England Squad in 2004 and 2005...also participated in tennis and golf.

PERSONAL: Shaxton earned his bachelor of arts degree in sports business administration in the spring of 2008 from Hartpury College...is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration at CSUB...parents are Kevin and Gill Shaxton...born June 7, 1987, in Taunton, Somerset, England.
