Biography
Last season: After two seasons on the medical shelf, Christine Kepenekian finally made her Roadrunner debut in 2006…got her feet wet by appearing in 23 games, including 16 minutes of action in the season–opener at Grand Canyon (11–18–05)…reached double–figure scoring by scoring 11 points twice: first against Holy Names University (12–29–05) and later vs. Cal State Stanislaus (1–27–06)…also grabbed a season–high seven rebounds in the win over Stanislaus…scored in 15 of her 23 appearances…is an adept three–point shooter who made multiple treys on three occasions in 2006…averaged nearly one steal per game with six multi–steal nights…pulled down multiple rebounds 16 times. 2005: A second consecutive preseason injury forced Kepenekian to redshirt yet again in 2005.
High School: Kepenekian brings sound fundamentals and a scorer’s mentality to the ’Runners after a solid prep career at Burbank High School…she earned a bevy of postseason honors including all–area player of the year, team MVP and first team All–Foothill League…averaged 24 points and 13 rebounds per game as a senior…played four seasons of varsity ball for the Bulldogs.
Personal: Kepenekian is a criminal justice major with a minor in physical education at CSUB.
