Biography

Concordia University: Kate McWhorter spent her freshman season at Concordia University–Irvine but did not play for the Eagles.

High School: Kate was a two–year standout for Maria Collatz’s powerful Stockdale High School program where she led the Mustangs to back-to-back Valley championships in 2003 and 2004…earned All–Southwest Yosemite League and Bakersfield Californian all–area honors…named the Mustangs’ rookie of the year in 2003 and earned the coaches award in 2004…also was a long jumper on the Stockdale track and field team as a senior.

Personal: Kate will major in liberal studies at CSUB…career goal is to become a teacher…her father, Charlie, is a CSUB alum who helped lead Bakersfield College to a California state basketball title in 1978…lists scrapbooking and photography among her hobbies.
