Biography

2019 (JUNIOR): Following the season, was drafted in the seventh round by the Atlanta Braves...became the highest Roadrunner ever drafted...made 13 starts on the season...finished the year with a 5-3 record and a 4.10 ERA...struck out 98 batters, good for third in CSUB single-season history...second on the team in innings pitched (74.2)...fourth on the team in ERA...third on the team in WHIP (1.28)...held opposing hitters to a .246 batting average...got the win and struck out seven batters in career debut against Cal on February 15...had 10 strikeouts against Santa Clara (3/1), Fairleigh Dickinson (3/8), Northern Colorado (4/18) and UTRGV (5/11)...other victories came against Fairleigh Dickinson (3/8), Hawaii (3/15), NM State (3/22) and UTRGV (5/11)...pitched a season-high eight innings at Sacramento State on March 29.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz...coached by Ryan Cougill...appeared in 15 games in his sophomore season, starting 12 times...went 7-4 with a pair of saves...tossed three complete games and had a shutout...struck out 80 batters in 72.1 innings pitched while walking just 24.  

HIGH SCHOOL:   Attended St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura, Calif...coached by Mike Minijares...led the Seraphs to Marmonte League championships in 2015 and 2016...was First Team All-Marmonte League all four seasons.

PERSONAL: Born on April 30, 1998...son of Randi Vines and Aretha Nunnery...sister Dajy played basketball at CSUB from 2010-2015...liberal studies major.
