Biography

2022: Saw somewhat limited playing time, appearing in 15 games while making 5 starts…Took just 20 at-bats but hit well with a .300 batting average, 6 hits, and 3 RBI…Stole 2 bases, only one of five players on the team to do so…Had best game against Kansas State Feb. 26, going 2-for-3.

2021: Did not see any action in 2021...Played summer baseball for the Jamestown Tarpskunks. 

2020: Appeared in six games, primarily as a pinch runner, while making one start...Scored a run in each of the team's two victories over Washington State...Made lone start of the season against Holy Cross on Mar. 2...Finished the season 0-for-4 at the plate...Academic All-WAC. 

2019: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Stockdale HS in Bakersfield...named First Team All-Area and First Team All-Southwest Yosemite League after his senior season...earned league's Rookie of the Year award in 2016 and earned first team all-conference honors...led the Mustangs to three straight conference championships and a valley title in 2018...coached by Brad Showers...also played football...member of National Honor Society.  

PERSONAL: Born on February 6, 2000 in Bakersfield...son of Clifton and Linda Blackburn...father Clifton played baseball at Taft College...Kinesiology major with a minor in Psychology...Interested in a career in Physical Therapy after CSUB.
