Bakersfield Christian High School: The CSUB coaching staff found the final piece to the 2009–10 recruiting puzzle literally right down the street with the signing of Bakersfield Christian High School standout Marcus Hall…led the Eagles to the South Sequoia League and CIF Central Section Div. IV titles in 2009 by averaging 20.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game…was a three–time first team All–SSL pick…reached double figures in 80 of his last 85 prep games…scored 20+ points 13 times, topping 30 points three times…had a season–high 36 points and 11 rebounds in the Central Section title game victory over Kingsburg…it was one of nine double–doubles last season…had 33 points and a career–high 15 rebounds the following game in a win over Chaminade Prep…had a nearly equally impressive junior campaign, averaging 20.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists…had a career–high 41 (of BCHS’ 69 points) vs. Garces in his second game as a junior…had seven double–doubles as a junior…averaged 17.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore…also played football at BCHS.
Personal: Hall is majoring in biology at CSUB…is a native of Sacramento…the youngest player on the team, Marcus will celebrate his 19th birthday with a Roadrunner game at Boise State on Feb. 17.
