Fresno City College: George DeLeon will add versatility and athleticism to the wing positions for CSUB after leading Fresno City College to a 33-1 record in 2009 and a state championship in 2007…averaged 13.8 points per game as a sophomore, with a high game of 28 points…chipped in nine rebounds and two assists per game…earned All–Central Valley Conference honors and was named the CVC’s Defensive Player of the Year for his efforts…helped the Rams win 30-plus games both seasons, finishing with a record of 63-9 during his career…also was a jumper with the Rams’ track & field team.

Washington High School: DeLeon attended Washington High School in New York.

Personal: DeLeon is majoring in liberal arts at CSUB…is a native of the Dominican Republic…brother Ardis DeLeon just finished a two–year career at Eastern Washington where he started 18 games for the Eagles…given first name is Yergis…hopes to continue his playing career after earning his degree at CSUB.
