Biography

2011 (SOPHOMORE): One of only two Roadrunners to play in all 26 matches and all 92 sets for CSUB… Emerged as the leading blocker for CSUB, posting 65 total blocks including a team-high 12 solo and 53 assisted…Finished fifth on the team with 107 kills for an average of 1.16 per set…Also added 15 digs and five assists…Hit a career-high mark in kills with 11 against Southern Utah (Oct. 11)…Put up a remarking hitting percentage of .714 (5-0-7) vs. St. Francis (Sept. 9)…Posted career-best marks of six blocks in three different matches, against UC Riverside (Sept. 16), Fresno State (Sept. 22) and Seattle (Nov. 5).

2010 (FRESHMAN): The only Roadrunner to start every match in 2010...led team in blocks with 106…named to the All-Tournament team at the Fresno State Invitational...registered eight blocks against Gonzaga (Aug 28)…had six blocks at Fresno State (Sept 18)…recorded five games with five blocks (Sacramento State, UC Riverside, Seattle (both games in Bakersfield), and at Seattle (independent tournament)…posted a high of six kills against Butler (Sept. 3)…registered five more kills against Seattle (Nov. 19).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Thatcher High School…helped the Eagles win 90 percent of their matches over the last two season, winning the Arizona State 2A title in 2008 before falling in the state final in 2009…led Thatcher with 74 blocks in 29 matches…was a two–time All-Region selection and a member of the 2009 Arizona State Championships All-Tournament team…also starred in basketball and track & field as a prep athlete…named honorable mention All-Area by the Eastern Arizona Courier as a basketball forward in 2010…a three-time state medalist in the shot and disc for the Eagles... earned dean’s list recognition all four years at Thatcher.

PERSONAL:  Daughter of Erin and Becky Motes…an English major...father, Erin, played football at Northern Arizona while mother, Becky, played volleyball at BYU-Hawaii…is a native of San Diego, Calif.
