High School: The top Bakersfield area high school player in 2008, Lauren Holderman will make the transition from prep middle blocker to collegiate back row specialist in 2009…earned Bakersfield Californian All–Area Player of the Year and Southeast Yosemite League MVP honors as a senior at local power Bakersfield High School…averaged 3.7 kills and 4.2 digs per set with 83 total aces in 2008…ended the season with double–figure kills in 12 of her final 14 matches, including a season–high 26 in a win over Poway High School…led the Drillers to three SEYL titles and a 99–36–1 record as a four–year lettterwinner…helped BHS reach the CIF Central Section Division I finals twice.

Personal: Lauren plans to major in sociology at CSUB…career goal is to become a teacher…answers to the nickname Lo…parents are Eloise Jones and Darryl Holderman.
