• Last year in Bakersfield, then-ranked No. 21 Little Rock defeated CSUB 41-6.

• Last year at the UCF Black & Gold Classic, the `Runners shocked the field and the nation, posting shutout victories against James Madison and Illinois 
  • CSUB’s win against Illinois was the program’s first victory against a B1G team since 2010.

• The Roadrunner women’s golf team is gearing up to resume the 2025-26 season with its first tournament of the Spring. 
  • Third-year Head Coach Katy Barrett Baxter had a core group of `Runners that led the way to a historic Fall portion of the season, paced by a pair of seniors: Iris Han and Sarah Mutai. 
    • The duo is on track to wrap up their `Runner careers as the top two performers in program history. 
  • `Runner newcomers like freshman Fiona Clancy and Rena Kaneko made a huge impact in the first half of the season while sophomore was a steady fixture in the lineup 
• On the heels of a record-setting 2024-25 season, the Roadrunners rolled that momentum into a great 2025-26 season thus far.

CSUB at Fresno State Invitational 

• The `Runners will get their first test of the spring season in a Fresno State-hosted tournament in SoCal:

  • Tee times will kick off at 9 a.m. (PT) each day. 
    • On Day 1, the `Runners will begin hitting the course at 9:40 AM.

• The field will play one round of golf each day of competition. 
• CSUB Head Coach Katy Barrett Baxter sends a good mixture of youth and experience as her scoring five: seniors Sarah Mutai and Iris Han, freshmen Rena Kaneko and Fiona Clancy, and sophomore Anna Kehrer. 
  • Baxter will also have three `Runners competing as an individual: Ashlee Kresha, Kate Montemayor, and Emilee Canepa. 
• The field is features a total of ten teams including Bakersfield. 
  • Some familiar foes include CSUN, Fresno State, UC Riverside, and future Big West member Utah Valley.
