BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield women's soccer team played Cal Poly to a scoreless draw Saturday at Main Soccer Field, with goalkeeper Addyson Evens making five saves to preserve the Roadrunners' shutout. The Mustangs finished with a 9-5 edge in shots, but the `Runners matched Cal Poly 3-3 in second-half attempts.

How it Happened

Cal Poly controlled more of the opening half, but Evens turned aside shots early and often to keep the match scoreless. The `Runners created two early chances through Walters, whose shots in the sixth and 11th minutes went wide, while Zoe Minnery's shot hit the right post for the Mustangs in the 38th minute proving to be a dangerous threat herself.

CSUB matched Cal Poly's three second-half shots and continued to look for a breakthrough. Walters added another attempt in the 65th minute, and Green put two more shots toward goal in the 77th and 86th minutes. Evens made her fifth save on former `Runner Mya Clarke in the 88th minute, preserving the shutout.
