MENLO, Calif. - The Cal State Bakersfield wrestling program kicked off the season Saturday at the annual Menlo Open. A group of young Roadrunners showed out, led by true freshman Mikah Labuanan, who earned a first-place finish in the 149-pound bracket.

Labuanan, who hails from Wailuku, Hawai'i, went 4-0 on the day, clinching the Menlo Open title with a major decision victory.

CSUB also enjoyed Top 4 finishes from four other `Runners:

• Caleb McElroy, 133, fourth
• Mikey Folch, 149, fourth
• Xander Firm, 149, fourth
