CSUB controlled the game for almost the entirety of the game as Long Beach State only had the lead for 45 seconds in the opening minute of the contest. The `Runners demolished LBSU on the boards, outrebounding The Beach 43-20, which helped the Roadrunners to 14 second chance points. Bakersfield also took great care of the ball, only turning it over eight times on the night.
Corey Stephenson recorded his second double-double on the season, his first coming last game. Stephenson finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, with an assist and steal.
The big men are making their presence felt for the Roadrunners, Tom Mark has made an immediate impact since his return from injury. Tonight, Mark had 10 rebounds and scoring six points, while dishing out three assists and recording a block. Fidelis Okereke scored 10 points and reeled in seven rebounds, adding two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
