BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield Volleyball team swept in the Roadrunner Classic this past weekend, being led by Sophomore outside hitter and Tournament MVP Sydney Dunning. Dunning earned the first volleyball offensive player of the week honors since CSUB has been apart of the Big West. She had an amazing performance against Oregon State, Seattle U and Nevada. 

Leading Bakersfield offensively, Dunning has begun to make a name for herself as one of Bakersfield's starters. This weekend during the Roadrunner Classic, Dunning led the `Runners to a huge 3-0 victory. She posted 4.08 k/s, with a hitting percentage of .339 H% as well as put up 2.17 dig per set. She had 48 kills over 12 sets, showing out in the game against Nevada where she had 18 kills, with a .390 hitting percentage. She also had 5 aces and 5 blocks assists, helping of the court wherever she could. 

The `Runners will be on the road for the next two weeks, starting off the Boise State Classic. Bakersfield will be in the Icardo Center  September 27th for the Big West home opener. Doors open at 5:00 pm with a 6:00 pm game time.  Purchase tickets at gorunners.universitytickets.com.
