• The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunner women's soccer team had another pair of non conference away games.  
• CSUB was on the road for the second straight week as they visited UNLV and Fresno State.

CSUB 1, UNLV 3

•  Bakersfield finishes a tough loss in Vegas as they took on the UNLV Rebels.
• Kim Gracia put in a beautiful header assisted by Cynthia Ramirez from a corner kick.
• After being tied 1-1 in the first half the `Runners had a tough second half defensively to finish the game.
• The Rebels shutout CSUB in the second half of the game and scored two goals on the `Runners. 

CSUB 1, Fresno State 2

• Bakersfield loses the battle for the Valley against Fresno State.
• The `Runners played an 86-minute gritty game against the Bulldogs but had a challenging 4 minutes to end the match.
• Senior Josie Novak scored a very early goal in the 9th minute to give the `Runners a lead for the majority of the game.
• Fresno scored in the 86th and 88th minute of the game to come back after being down 1-0 the entire game.
• Goalkeeper Kamy Anaya had 6 crucial saves.

• The Cal State Bakersfield men’s soccer team is off to a great start, earning three results in their first four matches.
• On Thursday, Bakersfield tallied its first win against a ranked opponent since 2018 with a 3-2 victory over Portland. The Pilots had previously boasted a 32-4-2 record on its home field since 2021 before the Roadrunners rolled into town.
• Over the team's last 12 road games, CSUB has an impressive record of 6-3-3.
• Connor Mautino earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors after putting up two goals against #18 Portland.

CSUB 3, No. 18 Portland 2

• Bakersfield entered Thursday night’s match coming off a tough loss to CBU, facing a tougher opponent in No. 18 Portland.
• `Runner goalkeeper Zenden Hart made two quick saves for CSUB, including denying a penalty kick for the Pilots.
• Portland continued to pressure CSUB early and found the back of the net in the 11th and 33rd minutes on the way to a 2-0 halftime advantage.
• Hart dialed it in in the second half, organizing the CSUB defense and recording three saves on ten shots from Portland.
• Bakersfield had six shots in the second half and made them count.
• Rashaad Ogun started the comeback in the 68th minute, bringing the `Runners within one goal with his volley on a fantastic cross from Filip Arras.
• In the 71st and 85th minute, Connor Mautino did Connor Mautino things, giving the `Runners their first lead of the night and winning the game.
  • Arras recorded assists on both of those goals as well, tallying three on the night.
• CSUB held off Portland in the final minutes for Bakersfield’s first win over a ranked team since 2018 when the team defeated No. 7 Air Force at home.

• The Cal State Bakersfield Volleyball Team took the Roadrunner Classic in an epic 3-0 defeat against Oregon State, Seattle U and Nevada. The Roadrunners were led by the underclassmen, coming out on top with Sydney Dunning leading the pack.
• Sophomore, Sydney Dunning has begun to make a name for herself as one of Bakersfield's starters. Over the weekend, Dunning led the `Runners to a huge 3-0 victory. She posted 4.08 k/s, with a hitting percentage of .339 H% as well as put up 2.17 dig per set. She had 49 kills over 12 sets, showing out in the game against Nevada where she had 18 kills, with a .390 hitting percentage. She earned tournament MVP to wrap up the weekend, where she also had 5 aces and 5 blocks assists, helping on the court wherever she could. 
• Dunning also earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors for her performance over the weekend. 
• Vivianna Samaniego came to make an impact on the court. Only a freshman, Samaniego put up 4.00 assists per set while the team was running 6-2. Only on the court for half the time, the Roadrunner made a huge contribution to Bakersfield's tournament win. She also had 1.58 d/s for the weekend with a monumental game against Nevada where she put up 6 assists per set to help lead to the `Runner's victory. 
• Learden Lee had an outstanding performance this weekend. She posted 1.33 blocks per set which tied the school record with 11 vs. Nevada. She also had 1.00 k/s on .292 H% to help contribute to Bakersfield's overall win.

CSUB 3, Oregon State 0

• Bakersfield faced off against the Oregon State Beavers to start off the Roadrunner Classic only matching up with this team twice before historically, losing both times, dating all the way back to 2011.
• It was a tight game starting off, but Bakersfield was able to put the first point on the board. Bakersfield would take an early lead, 6-2. Continuing that lead for a while, with a 15-6 lead to secure their dominance. The first set ended in 26-24.
• Bakersfield got out to a slow start in set two, with Oregon taking an early lead, But Bakersfield made a comeback, winning set two 25-23.
• In the final set of the match, the Beavers took an early 8-2 lead, but the `Runners didn’t back off. CSUB went on a 6-point streak to tie up the match at 11 points.
• Winning the final match 25-20 resulting in a 3-0 sweep against Oregon.
• Sydney Dunning showed out in this match, putting up 11 kills and seven digs.

 CSUB 3, Seattle U 2 

• Heading into the second game of the tournament, Bakersfield looked to get another win under their belt.
• Starting off, CSUB put the first points on the board, but Seattle got the best of the `Runners in set one, winning 25-22.
• Bakersfield had a strong come back in the second set bringing the heat and taking it 25-22, with Dunning putting up the last six points.
• Battling out, the Redhawks got out well in the third set, 25-15, all the way into the fourth set where Bakersfield tied up the match 2-2.
• During the fifth set, the `Runners shut down Seattle. Getting out to an early 6-0 lead, with Samia Bhakta leading the team.
• SU answered back but the `Runners held their ground, winning the final set 15-6, taking the match.

CSUB 3, Nevada 1

• The `Runners and Wolf Pack both came into the match with 2-0 records in the Roadrunner Classic, making Saturday’s finale the effective “Championship Match”.
• Nevada jumped out to a quick lead in Set 1 and eventually led 19-9 before Bakersfield went on an 8-2 run. The Wolf Pack sealed the deal, 25-21, thanks to 8 kills from Bella Snyder. Learden Lee tallied 4 blocks in the opening frame for CSUB.
• Bakersfield answered back with a strong Set 2, eventually evening the match with a 25-21 victory.
• The `Runners and Wolf Pack battled through a pivotal third set as Bakersfield gutted up a 27-25 win to go up 2-1 on the match.
• CSUB dominated the fourth set, winning 25-14 thanks to 7 kills from Sydney Dunning.
• Dunning led all `Runners with 18 kills while adding 8 digs and 4 blocks.
• Paige Dugan added 14 kills and 11 digs for her first double-double as a `Runner.
• Lee wrapped up the match with 11 blocks, tying CSUB’s Division I single-match record (Emma Erteltova, 2022, at Cal Poly).
