SARATOGA SPRINGS, Ut. – The Cal State Bakersfield Golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the 2024-25 season at the Wolverine Invitational. The `Runners placed 7th out of 10 in their first appearance that featured two true freshman and three returners that competed over the three rounds.
Mutai led CSUB finishing the tournament at +2 and finishing 13th on the individual leaderboard, and tying her third best individual 54-hole tournament score. Just five spots behind her was Iris Han who finished at +5. Han’s score was the second-best tournament score of her collegiate career. True freshman, Anna Kehrer, made history in her first round as a Roadrunner. She reset the CSUB record for a debut round (+2), eclipsing her teammate Sarah Mutai who had held that record since the 2022-23 season where she finished +6 in the K. Chugg Invite. The team’s +35 finish landed them in the 4th spot for best program finish in a 54-hole tournament.
