Pac-12 Announces Winter Honor Roll

SAN RAMON – Five scholar-athletes of the Cal State Bakersfield wrestling program were named to the Pac-12 Conference's 2024 Winter Academic Honor Roll on Monday morning. Tyler Deen, Romeo McNeal, Mateo Morales, Santino Sanchez, and Johnathon Viveros were among the 840 student-athletes being recognized by the Pac-12.

Any student-athlete on their respective team roster with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3-or-above, and who has served at least one year in residence at the institution, is eligible for the distinction.

CSUB surpassed last year's total of four CSUB recipients. McNeal, Morales, and Viveros are honored in back-to-back years, while Deen and Sanchez join their teammates on the Honor Roll list for the first time. The `Runners have not had more than five honorees in a single season since 2015 when they six men earn Academic Honor Roll status.
