• The Cal State Bakersfield women’s basketball team is back in action in the Icardo Center Thursday afternoon for Education Day against UC Riverside.
• Following this game, the `Runners will jump back on the road for a trip down to Cal State Fullerton.

 CSUB vs. UC Riverside  (11-10, 6-5 BW) - Education Day

• Thursday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m. (PT), Bakersfield, Calif.
• The `Runners will continue their season against Riverside, looking for a win against the Highlanders leading Bakersfield 13-5 for series history.
• Riverside currently resides in the center of the pack, with the Roadrunners looking for a win to get themselves back in the standings for the Big West championship in the March.
• The Highlanders are coming off a big win against CSUN, outscoring the Matadors by 20+ points.

 CSUB vs. Cal State Fullerton (7-13, 3-7 BW)

• Thursday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m. (PT), at Fullerton, Calif.
• Bakersfield has the opportunity to capitalize on the game against Cal State Fullerton, with them have a 3-7 losing record in conference play.
• The `Runners beat the Titans earlier this season, they look to go 2-0 for the year, with the titans having a three-game losing streak.

• Bakersfield hits the road for one game versus UC Riverside, the Roadrunners are 1-0 this season when going head-to-head with the Highlanders.
  • The Roadrunners hold a two-game win streak over the Highlanders and extended the all-time series lead to 28-26.
• UCR enters this matchup on a three-game losing streak after playing UC San Diego, Long Beach State and CSUN.
• Riverside is led by, Redshirt Sophomore, Isaiah Moses with 13.1 PPG.
• After an impressive week by Kaleb Higgins, he has now increased his points per game to 17.1.

• Cal State Fullerton comes into this week winning three of their last five games.
• The Roadrunners and Titans last met on January 27th, which the `Runners dropped snapping their three-game winning streak.
• The Titans have two players in the top 10 in scoring.
  • Max Jones is averaging 15.5 PPG, ranked 8th.
  • Dominic Brewton is averaging 14.7 PPG ranked 10th.
• Bakersfield comes into this matchup on a four-game losing streak when playing Cal State Fullerton.

• As the Cal State Bakersfield swimmers continue to train for the MPSF Championships (Feb. 21-24), the Roadrunner divers are headed to the league meet a week early.
• CSUB’s divers will be in Mission Viejo, Calif., Feb. 12-14, for the MPSF Diving Championships
  • The meet will be held at Marguerite Aquatics Center
• The `Runners will tackle the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards as well as the platform.
• CSUB junior Dyson Modica reset the program’s platform record with 234.70 points at the Big Al Invitational in December.
• Chloe Brown, Madi Gray, and Anderson Laing are three others `Runners who take experience to the league meet.
  • Alexia Chavez and Cody Morgan will be making their debuts at the MPSF competition
• The 2024 MPSF Championships will be Bakersfield’s last as the `Runners will be joining the rest of the CSUB Athletics Department as members of The Big West next season.
• Last year at the league meets, Bakersfield enjoyed a pair of individual champions (Vili Sivec and Mikayla Popham), five medals, and 13 All-Conference performances.

The Cal State Bakersfield Wrestling team will continue dual season on the road with two weeks to go before postseason competition. CSUB travels east this week for another Pac-12 dual meet against ranked Little Rock as well as a non-conference clash with SIUE.

CSUB at #20 Little Rock & SIUE - Feb. 11, Little Rock, Ark.

• The Roadrunners have a pair of duals lined up in Arkansas on Super Bowl Sunday.
• CSUB will kick off the day with a dual against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (5-3) at 8:30 a.m. (PT).
  • The Cougars have won five of their last six duals, including a 20-15 win against California Baptist.
  • SIUE boasts one ranked wrestler in 149-pounder Caleb Tyus, who sits between #20 and #27 depending on the poll.
  • CSUB’s last and only meeting against SIUE was a 33-6 win back in 2016.
• Right after the match against SIUE, Bakersfield will tackle Little Rock (12-5) at 10 a.m. (PT).
  • The Pac-12 clash will be the third all-time between the two programs. Little Rock won each of the last two meetings, including a 30-6 victory last season.
  • The Trojans are coming off a 21-12 win over #23 Cal Poly.
  • Little Rock’s roster features five ranked wrestlers, including two in the Top 10 in the country at their weight classes.
