The Cal State Bakersfield women’s soccer team triumphed over UC San Diego with a 3-0 win on Thursday night. Anela Nigito opened the scoring with a spectacular free-kick goal from 35 yards just before halftime. Sara Ybarra doubled the lead early in the second half, assisted by Mya Fortun and Karen Flores. Solei Moton added the third goal in the 73rd minute to seal the win. Goalkeeper Hollee Hercik recorded three saves, earning the shutout as the Roadrunners improved to 4-8-1 on the season. After Thursday night's performance Hollee Hercik now holds the 3rd spot for most saves in CSUB history at now 200 saves and counting.
