CSUB Athletics Celebrates Women's History Month

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield Athletics department celebrates Women's History Month. Every year, throughout the month of March, we celebrate women's history to honor the contributions women have had in the past.

Roadrunner's standout women's basketball player, and Bakersfield native, Taylor Caldwell, expresses what it means to be a woman in sports. "I don't have to be afraid to show true passion or fearlessness, not only in my sport but in my life."

She has been inspired by historic athletes who paved the way for her. "Athletes like Serena Williams paved the way for me and inspired me to do whatever it is that I put my mind to," said Caldwell.
