Meet CSUB Softball 2023: Pitchers

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The start of the 2023 Cal State Bakersfield softball season is just a few days away and first-year Head Coach Daniel Sperl and the Roadrunners continue to prepare for the new era of CSUB Softball. Ahead of the start of the season, we want to introduce the 2023 edition of the `Runners to fans.

Today marks the last of a four-part series breaking down Sperl's squad, position by position. Last Thursday, we introduced the CSUB Softball catchers, but now we want you to meet their batterymates, the `Runner pitchers.

Quotes
  • Sperl on the group: "Our pitching staff should be deeper and more experienced this season, with Reina, Kaycie, and Kirsten returning with valuable innings under their belts. Violet has a chance to make an immediate impact at the Division I level, while Bri brings an entirely different look to our staff. All five should contribute, and we'll need the entire staff to play key roles in 2023."
