`Runners Stumble Against Trojans

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Competing without three starting wrestlers, the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners came out of the gate slow in Sunday evening's Pac-12 dual. CSUB fell behind Little Rock early and, despite a couple late wins, Bakersfield dropped a 30-6 decision against the Trojans.

Notables

Little Rock jumped out to a 21-0 lead before CSUB was able to get on the board in the seventh bout of the night.
Albert Urias (174) battled Triston Wills into overtime. The `Runner caught his opponent off guard with a great leg trip and takedown for the 5-3 victory.
Two bouts later, Mateo Morales (197) followed up the act with an extra-time win of his own. Morales found himself with a 10-8 lead in double overtime thanks to slippery reversal and the `Runner held on for a 10-9 victory.
Josh Brown (149) had his six-match win streak snapped when he was pinned by Little Rock's Joey Bianchi.
