• Friday, Dec. 1 – Sunday, Dec. 3, Princeton, N.J.
• The most valuable and exciting regular season annual tournament for the `Runners, the Big Al Invitational, is up next. The “long course” style pool allows for swimmers to often post personal best times.
• In last season’s edition of the Big Al Invitational, multiple program records were broken, and even more top-5 lists were cracked. Vili Sivec highlighted the tournament as the true freshman posted a NCAA B-Cut time (1:44.78) in the 200 Fly that also shattered the program record.
• The following scenarios are on the table as Cal State Bakersfield faces off against Princeton (hosts), Buffalo (women only), Columbia (men only), Denver, George Washington, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Penn State, and Army (divers only):
  • Vili Sivec could become the Croation National Record Holder in the 200 Fly. A good enough time can also net him a time eligible for the World Championships, FINA A-Cup, or Olympic Qualifiers.
  • Arthur Schneider, Yigit Saglam, and Jacob Folsom are within range of posting top-5 times in the program record book.
  • Dyson Modica, diving in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform, could also get himself into the top-5 diving list for CSUB.
  • Chelaine Van der Westhuizen stands the best chance of setting records. She may well break the school record for the 100/200 Breast with the potential to post NCAA B-Cut times in those events.
  • Lorena Jerebic, Josiane Hill, and Kylie Ney are all within range of setting top-5 numbers for the CSUB women’s record book.

•  The Roadrunners are on the road for the second straight week after taking on Sacramento State and Tarleton State at the SoCal Challenge in San Juan Capistrano, CA. CSUB finished the trip 1-1. 
• The `Runners are 3-3 on the year as they take on Gonzaga. 
• This is the fifth time the two teams will be meeting up in school history. 
•  The two teams haven’t faced each other since 2019, where Gonzaga continued their success versus Bakersfield with a 77-49 victory.

CSUB at Gonzaga (4-1) - Tuesday, Nov. 28, 6:00 PM

• Gonzaga comes into this game ranked 11th in the nation.
• 5 Bulldogs are averaging 11 PPG or more and averaging 83.40 PPG as a team.
• Gonzaga is coming home after the Maui Invitational where they faced #2 Purdue, Syracuse, and #24 UCLA. Recording a 2-1 record, losing to Purdue by 10.
• CSUB will look to play spoiler versus this tough Bulldog team.
• Bakersfield is coming off a 1-1 record in the SoCal Challenge, beating Sacramento State and losing in the Sand Division Championship to Tarleton State.
• Ugnius Jarusevicius has been coming into his own over the past few games scoring 24 points and four rebounds in the SoCal Challenge and earning All-Tournament honors.

• The Cal State Bakersfield men’s wrestling team have had a few weeks of training before their next competition. 
• The last two competition for the `Runners have been at home, vs. Wyoming and the other being the Roadrunner Open. 
• Tournament season continues for Bakersfield as they go on the road for one of the toughest meets in the country. 

CSUB at Cliff Keen Invitational - Friday-Saturday, Dec. 01-02

• Friday-Saturday, Dec. 01-02, Las Vegas, Nev.
• Last year, CSUB placed 26th at the Cliff Keen Invitational. 
• Bakersfield will once again be at one of the most elite wrestling competitions in the country.
• 15 of FloWrestlings pre-season top 25 teams will be competing at the meet along with CSUB.
• There are 36 total school's that will be in attendance at the Westgate Paradise Event Center in Las Vegas.
• Defending Cliff Keen Invitational team champions, Nebraska, will be in attendance.
