BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield's Athletics Department celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month with our 5th annual Pride Night! We invite you to join us on Friday, October 6th, at 7:00 PM to watch the Bakersfield volleyball team take on Long Beach State at the Icardo Center. The doors will open at 6:00 PM.
What to look forward to
Prior to the `Runners taking on Long Beach State, all fans are welcomed to join us between 6:00-7:00 PM for our free resource fair! The fair will include multiple organizations to distribute information about the LGBTQ+ community. The following organizations will be in attendance for the fair:
- CSUB Student Health Center
- CSUB LGBTQ+ advocacy group
- CSUB LGBTQ+ Network Club
- CSUB Dreamers Resource Center & MAGEC
- Organization of Women Leaders (OWLs)
- First Congregational Church
- CTA SSCC ( California Teachers Association Sierra Service Center Council)
The first 150 CSUB students will receive a Bakersfield pride shirt. We will be selling Bakersfield pride shirts to all fans for just $10! Head over to the merchandise table in the lobby of the Icardo Center at the game to purchase your shirts.
We will be honoring and recognizing the recipients of the inaugural the Roadrunner's Kern County Rainbow Community Organizer Award.
