Quotes
  • "Coach said I need to be a more vocal, bigger scorer than I had been in previous games. I just thought it was the time for me to lock in and take us home." – McGhee said of his increased offensive role
  • "[Defense] is the blueprint…The people he go and recruits, he just recruits dogs and he go and recruit tough-minded people." – Cameron Smith on the team, which came into the game ranking Top 40 in the nation in scoring defense
  • "[At halftime] Coach mentioned we have been here before. We have to stay locked in, keep defending, and don't let them go on any runs. It starts on defense." – Antavion Collum on breaking the trend of letting a second-half lead slip
  • "We're always thankful for the opportunity to do what we do. I'm thankful for our fans to come out and support us. I thought our fans made an impact, especially in the second half...I'm really proud of our guys. Obviously, we needed a win. We finally decided to defend for 40 minutes. We still made some mistakes, but I thought we had some guys step up." – Head Coach Rod Barnes
