Bakersfield Drops Match at No. 28 Air Force

USAFA, Colo. – Facing the 28th-ranked team in the country on the road, the Cal State Bakersfield wrestling team dropped a dual against Air Force on Sunday afternoon. The Roadrunners built an early, 9-3 lead on the Falcons, but Air Force won the final six bouts on the way to a 30-8 victory over Bakersfield.

No. 19 Chance Rich (133) earned his fifth ranked win of the season, defeating No. 21 Cody Phippen in a 4-1 decision.
At 141, No. 28 Angelo Martinoni surged to the end of his bout against Garrett Kuchan, taking a 9-2 decision from the Falcon.
Josh Brown made it three-straight victories for CSUB, winning a 9-3 decision in the 149-pound matchup against Dylan Martinez.
Bakersfield's three-straight wins put the `Runners ahead 9-3, but Air Force regained momentum and rattled off 27 unanswered points.
CSUB lost one point during the match from an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
