CSUB Heads to Washington for Week 2

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Opening Weekend featured a trio of tough matches in Tempe, Ariz. and the Bakersfield volleyball team is excited to take the lessons learned and apply them this weekend. The Roadrunners are headed to Pullman, Wash., Sept. 2-3, for three more difficult matches at the Cougar Challenge.

Quotes from Head Coach Giovana Melo
  • "Last weekend was definitely a learning experience for us. What I love the most is that our team for the most part stayed composed even when things were not going our way. They stuck to our core values even though it didn't show on the scoreboard."
  • "For this entire non-conference schedule, the level of competition is very high. Every single tournament will be just like last weekend. We just need to continue to grow as a team."
