Roadrunner Scholar-Athletes Garner 3.25 Spring GPA

Bakersfield, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield scholar-athletes posted a 3.16 grade point average during the 2022 Spring Semester, finishing with a department wide GPA higher than a 3.00 for the 15th-consecutive semester.  Ten separate programs posted a team-GPA of 3.00 or better, paced by the women's volleyball team, which combined for a 3.75. Men's Soccer's 3.16 GPA was the highest for a CSUB men's program last semester.
 
"CSUB scholar-athletes continue to set a high bar with their effort and commitment in the classroom matching what they bring to competition," said CSUB Interim Director of Athletics Cindy Goodman. "Our department's continued academic success is a testament to their determination, but also a reflection of the hard work and support of our academic staff and coaches whose emphasis on academic success has become a benchmark of Roadrunner athletics."
 
155 Roadrunners finished with term grade point averages higher than 3.25 and earned Dean's List Honors for the semester, while 66-percent of CSUB's scholar athletes boast cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and qualify for the Athletics Director's Honor Roll.
 
Twenty-five scholar-athletes posted perfect 4.00 GPA in the fall, including Baseball's Daniel Carrizosa, Cody Hendriks, Michael Pollard, Cody Tucker, Tyler Vargas, Men's Basketball's Jack Schoemann, Women's Basketball's Jasmin Dixon and Andi Easley, Women's Soccer's Karen Flores and Dome Rodriguez, Women's Swimming's Autumn D'Arcy and Mikayla Popham, Women's Track's Mariah LeSure, Wrestling's Mateo Morales, Golf's Jefi Dordevic, Softball's Jordan Head, Kaia Johnson, Samantha Martinez and Kayla Tadewosian, and Volleyball's Caroline Benke, Brooke Boiseau, Paige Calvin, Maci Perkins, Ericka Snopko and Anna Unke.
 
Bakersfield's department-wide cumulative GPA is now a record breaking 3.25.
