Bakersfield was led by sophomore, Rena Kaneko, who placed 10th on the individual leaderboard after three strong rounds of golf finishing three over par (74, 74, 71). Freshman Fiona Clancy made her `Runner debut, finishing the first round with a score of 76 (+4). This ranks third among best single-round debuts, just behind Kaneko, who made her debut in the Wolverine Invitational shooting a 73 (+3).
Sarah Mutai continues her consistent start to the year, finishing just five over after three rounds. Mutai currently has a season scoring average of 72.3 strokes; the senior's personal best is 75.52 strokes (2023-24) and this is also the second best in Roadrunner history. Iris Han bounced back after a tough first round finishing the second round with a 73 (+1) and the final round with a 74 (+2). Anna Kehrer helped power the `Runners to their best round this tournament shooting even par in the second round on Day 1.
CSUB will be back in action on Tuesday, October 7th at Sandpiper Golf Club as they take on Big West foe, CSUN, in a dual match.
