CSUB Splits Regular Season Finale in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Playing in its regular season finale, the CSU Bakersfield beach volleyball team posted a split against No. 12 Long Beach State and Cal State LA. The `Runners dropped several close sets against the Beach, falling 4-1, before taking a 3-2 victory over the Golden Eagles.

"We played pretty well today," said Cesar Benatti, Bakersfield's Head Coach, "way more consistent overall than we have been. The games against Long Beach State were very competitive and showed us we can hang at a high level, which gives us confidence for the Big West tournament."

Benatti went on to talk about the win against Cal State LA: "Finishing with a win is always good in any circumstance. Monday, we're back at our hard work for the Big West."
