BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield's men's basketball team invites the city to the Icardo Center on Tuesday, December 20th, at 7:00 PM as we attempt to Sweep the Valley against Fresno State!

Earlier in the season, women's basketball went to Fresno and came back victorious in great fashion, with a 56-53 win over the Bulldogs.

The men's team looks to complete the sweep for the first time in Bakersfield history.

Fresno State finished the season last year 23-13 overall, and made it to the Mountain West Championship quarterfinals where they lost to San Diego State, 46-53. The Bulldogs accepted an invitation to The Basketball Classic presented by ERACISM, a 32-team, single elimination postseason tournament. They ended up winning the championship game against Coastal Caroline Chanticleers, 85-74. 

This year, the Bulldogs are 1-2 for away games. The `Runners look to capitalize on that where we are 2-0 at home for the season. The last time Fresno came to Bakersfield to play the men's team was back in 2016, where the Roadrunners took the win, 71-63.

What to look forward to 

The first 1,000 fans will receive Roadrunner fan signs.

There will be a fan contest during the game. Be on the lookout to have a chance at winning prizes!

Before the Roadrunners take on the Bulldogs, the Abilene Christian Wildcats come to the Icardo Center this Saturday, December 17^th at 7:00 PM. 

The team hosts the UC Irvine Anteaters on Saturday, December 31^st at 1:00 PM, for their Big West conference home opener at the Icardo Center.
