Men's Hoops to Open Regular Season at Home on Monday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The 2022-23 men's basketball season officially kicks off on Monday for Cal State Bakersfield as the Roadrunners are preparing to host their regular-season opener in the Icardo Center. The San Diego Christian Hawks will come to Bakersfield to play the Roadrunners on Monday night as CSUB is coming off an exhibition victory over Antelope Valley.

`Runner Notes

Bakersfield posted an 80-62 exhibition win against Antelope Valley on Thursday in front of 2,600 Kern County school children on Education Day.
The `Runner offense was led by Kaleb Higgins (25 points) and Antavion Collum (19 points).
Sophomore Ivan Reynolds came off the bench and still played 38 minutes against the Pioneers.

Scouting the Hawks

San Diego Christian (1-0) is led by fifth-year Head Coach Dwayne Cosby.
The Hawks fell to San Diego State, 102-52, in an exhibition on Nov. 1 before officially opening their season with a four-point victory over Saint Katherine on Saturday.
Greg Chew tallied 28 points and nine rebounds for SDCC while Cameron Dashiell posted 16 points and eight assists.
