`Runners Can't Recover from Strong UNLV First-Half Run

Box Score LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A 19-0 first-half run from UNLV contributed to a lead that the Rebels never gave up, as the Roadrunners fell 74-42 in Las Vegas. Despite the result, Cal State Bakersfield showed improvement in their ability to start games strong, with a 14-4 run in the first quarter.

  • After shooting 2-of-4 on three-pointers in the first quarter and 3-of-3 in the third, the `Runners could not mimic that same pace and ended up converting just 6-of-22 by the final buzzer.
  • UNLV never took its foot off the gas pedal and held a large lead, downing the `Runners 74-42.
