CSUB Looking for Win vs Hawai'i in Last Road Game

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Roadrunners are preparing to play their final road game of the season, taking on Hawai'i for the second time this season. Bakersfield is still searching for its first win against the Rainbow Wahine in the all-time series but is hopeful following the teams' last matchup in October that ended in a tight, 3-2 tiebreaker win for Hawai'i.

`Runner Notes

Bakersfield (7-22, 4-13 Big West) dropped their last match against Cal Poly 3-1, despite the `Runners playing the Mustangs closer than the score suggests.
With the help of Emma Erteltova's school record-setting 11 blocks, Cal State Bakersfield dominated on the blocking side of the game, pulling off 15 total blocks to Cal Poly's five.
Bakersfield native Ava Palm led the `Runners with 12 kills while setter Ella Erteltova posted a double-double with 11 assists and 11 digs.
CSU Bakersfield is one of only three Big West teams to win at least two sets in a single match against Hawai'i.

Scouting the Rainbow Wahine

Hawai'i (19-6, 16-1 Big West) hosted Cal Poly on Friday for a 3-1 victory in Honolulu.
The Rainbow Wahine have only dropped one Big West match all season and Cal Poly was the first team to take a set from Hawai'i in the last five matches.
Fresh Caylen Alexander posted 16 kills on .444 hitting in UH's match against the Mustangs.
Hawai'i is currently the Big West team leader in attacking percentage led by the league's top hitter Amber Igiede.
UH narrowly bested Cal State Bakersfield earlier in the season, needing a 15-8 tiebreaker to seal the match.
