`Runners Wrap Up 3-Game Road Stint at UNLV

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – On the heels of an exciting victory against cross-valley rival Fresno State, the Cal State Bakersfield women's basketball team will wrap up its season-opening road trip with a stop at UNLV on Sunday. The Roadrunners are looking to avenge a home loss against the Rebels last season with a road win of their own in Las Vegas this weekend.

`Runner Notes

Bakersfield posted a 56-53 road victory against Fresno State on Nov. 11
CSUB dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 28-11 in the 10-minute span.
The `Runner offense was once again led by sophomore Hennie van Schaik, who tallied a career-high 17 points while adding six rebounds at the Save Mart Center.

Scouting the Rebels

UNLV (3-0) is out to a hot start, posting three-straight wins to open the season.
The Rebel offense has averaged 87 points per game, including a 100-84 victory against Oral Roberts.
CSUB and UNLV met in Bakersfield last season on Dec. 5, 2021, and the Rebels handed the `Runners a loss in the Icardo Center, 71-56.
In the team's five meetings all-time, UNLV has a slight edge over CSUB, 3-2.
