Big West Slate Kicks Off at Home Thursday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield women's soccer rides into opening weekend of Big West Conference on the back of a shutout road win over Idaho State last weekend. Back on their home pitch this Thursday, the Roadrunners, and the UC Davis Aggies battle for an unblemished start in league at 7:05 p.m.

CSUB is led by top goal scorer and Freshman Player of the Week Jamie Ingrassia. She has two goals on the season for a team-high four points.

UC Davis is carrying a three-match winning streak – and wins in four of its last five – into the contest. The Aggies have outscored their opponents by a 7-1 count during their recent winning streak.

Bakersfield is 1-2-1 all-time against Davis, winning the last series match nine seasons ago, 1-0, at a neutral site.

The Roadrunners are on the road for three-straight contests following UC Davis on Thursday, with conference games at UC San Diego (9/30), Cal Poly (10/7), and UC Santa Barbara (10/10).

All Big West matches at home and most on the road will stream live on ESPN+ this season.

CSUB Athletics is excited to welcome fans back to the Main Soccer Field for Roadrunner home events this season. At this time fans are required to wear a face mask unless in designated areas for food and drink consumption.
