`Runners Finish Non-Conference at Boise State, Idaho State

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Last weekend, the CSU Bakersfield women's soccer team tallied a road and home loss. This weekend, the Roadrunners non-conference slate will be finished off in the Pacific Northwest.

"It's our final opportunity to get better before the conference portion of our season," said Head Coach Sebastian Vecchio. "We are looking to get some results to go into next week with some momentum."

Up first, Bakersfield (0-6-1) is headed to Boise, Idaho to go up against a tough Boise State (5-2) club that's 3-0 at home. CSUB and the Broncos kickoff at Boas Soccer Complex on Friday, Sept. 17, at 4 p.m.

The Blue and Orange had a five-match shutout streak snapped last weekend, dropping games against Utah Valley and Montana. Before the losses, Boise State had outscored their opponents 11-0 and were one of four teams in the nation who had not conceded a goal.

Following Boise State, the Roadrunners will remain in Idaho for an 11 a.m. matinee at Idaho State (0-7-1) on Sunday. The Bengals welcome CSUB to Davis Field after a stop at BYU on Thursday.

Bakersfield and the Bengals have had a similar start this season, each team earning a draw in the opener and still in search of their first win.

`Runner fans can follow CSUB at Boise State on the Mountain West Network. On Sunday, fans can watch the match live on ESPN+. Links to watch, listen or follow live stats are all available on the CSUB women's soccer schedule page.
