Men's Track & Field Signs Cytres Vives

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield men's outdoor track and field received their first National Letter of Intent signed and returned for next season. Cytres Vives joins the Roadrunners in high jump adding depth for CSUB in the event.

Vives comes to Bakersfield by way of Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills where he had a notable prep career. He jumped four times this season and recorded three wins. His best mark was in his first attempt of the year at 6 feet 6 inches.

Head coach Eric Nuemann and teammates named Vives Athlete of the Year after a successful run in Mission League competition. Cytres hard work in the classroom is evident in his ability to compete at high level while maintaining academic honors with a 3.5 GPA or better.
