CSUB Headed South to Face CSUN

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – After a few weeks between competitive action, CSU Bakersfield will return to the golf course this week. The Roadrunners will take on fellow Big West Conference member CSUN in a dual on Wednesday, Mar. 31, in Moorpark, Calif.

"We are excited to get back to competing after a short break," said Meghan Thomason, CSUB's Director of Golf. "We got a lot of great work done the past two weeks and are ready for the remainder of our season."

The entire `Runner squad will make the trip to Moorpark for this week's dual against the Matadors, but the format will remain the traditional play five, count four. CSUB's scoring five will be made up of Brandi Borjon, Allie Crawley, Gillian Galicia, Macey Mills, and Vanessa Watkins. The senior-heavy scoring group will also be joined by three `Runners competing as individuals: Kaleigh Irey, Meredith McDougal, and Christy Mae Saban.

Rustic Canyon Golf Course will host the `Runners and Matadors on Wednesday in what is forecasted to be a warm and windy day. Located 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles, the course features 18 holes sprinkled around the foothills of Ventura County.

The `Runners and Matadors will tee off at 7:30 a.m. at Rustic Canyon. Full results will be shared here and on Twitter @CSUB_WGolf after the dual is completed.
